I’m writing a bachelor’s thesis and need to find a referee. My adviser suggested a candidate and I’m about to contact the person to ask if he would referee my thesis, i.e. take a look at the thesis, be present at the defense and give me a grade which flows into my final grade for the thesis.
Question: should I let him know that I’m in good academic standing by mentioning my GPA? On one hand I want him to agree to referee my work, and I want to convey that I’ll be working hard to make the thesis interesting. On the other hand, I am afraid that he might think I’m insinuating that my current GPA is more or less what I expect to see as my grade.
