I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question so bare with me on this. I am currently a Freshman (Grade 9) and need to take at least 1 year of art to graduate. In the future, I would like to become an Indie Developer, mostly program, but I would like to know if it would be useful to know about modeling and 3D design. I can either take Art (drawing and stuff, pretty easy) that has very little to do with game development, or ROP Art of Animation (2D Stop Motion, 3D modeling, rendering, rigging, texturing etc.) which I think could be useful for game development, but I am not sure.
So my question is, would it be useful to know about 2D and 3D animations when trying to become an Indie Game programmer, or is it un-necessary?
