I have been trying to get a medical degree place (MBBS seat) for the past 3 years, but I have not achieved it so far. Being a Non-Local and OC (Overseas Citizen of India) at the same time makes it tough to crack through 15% quota due to the entrance quota policies of the various schools. Now, my parents said they would allow me to join for only the open university course, in where I stay IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) allow even bipc (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) student to take a Batchelor of Computer Application (BCA) course.
I was wondering what good would it do to me? I mean will it only turn out to be a namesake educational qualification, or can I go for further education and jobs?
Because I thought I could go for ethical hacking and cyber security in my BCA course.
Please, help me, because there were some who told me that it would do me no good. (Some positive comments would be appreciated).
